Cratloe's hopes of qualifying for the Semi Final Stage of the Clare Cup were again ended on the last day of the league with a disappointing two point defeat (12pts to 10 pts) to Clooney on Thursday last.
Played in a torrential downpour the more physical Quin side were able to adapt to the conditions byt also looked the more hungrier outfit throughout a tie they never trailed from the tenth minute.
Cratloe now have to turn their attention to their second round Championship tie against St Josephs Doora Barefield scheduled for the weekend starting the 22nd August.
