2017 Championship Draws Made

There's a grand stretch in the evenings, which can only mean one thing...

The hurling season kicks off as ever in Clare with the widely respected and competitive Under 21 Championship in March. Reigning champions in the "B" category, we opted to stick at this level and were accommodated by the county board with quite a few of the backbone of last years starting 15 overage this year. We welcome our new management team headed up by the experienced Mike Deegan and wish them every success in this campaign. The draw below was made on February 9th at Clare GAA HQ and Cratloe face Crusheen/Tubber in the preliminary round.

U21 B Quarter Finals:
St Joseph's DB v Scariff/Ogonnelloe or Smith O Brien's
Ballyea v O'Callaghan's Mills
Clooney/Quin v Clarecastle or Broadford
Tulla v Crusheen/Tubber or Cratloe

Elsewhere, the Clare Senior Hurling and Football Championship Draws have thrown out some juicy ties. Cratloe face Whitegate in the opening round of the hurling and Ennistymon in the football. Both familiar opposition to the Cratloe men who will be hoping to learn from last year's opening round defeat to Feakle in hurling. Opening round victories are crucial, especially for a dual club like ourselves.
