Best wishes to Enda and Paudge!
This coming Sunday is another milestone day in our club's history when two Cratlonians, Enda Boyce of Moyhill and Paudge Collins of Brickhill, will proudly wear the Clare jersey in only our county's third ever appearance in an All Ireland Minor final.
Interestingly, Cratloe have had representatives on all sides. Keith Galvin was a panelist and Joseph 'Gogo' O Gorman lined out at centreback on the Clare side defeated by Offaly in the 1989 decider while Gearoid Considine played at midfield on the only team ever from Clare to win the Irish Press Cup in 1997. Ronan O Reilly also won a medal as part of that panel.
Paudge and Enda have already done their club extremely proud in getting to Croker on a journey that turned around a defeat to Waterford in Walsh Park in April with wins over Kerry, Tipperary and Limerick in Munster as well as avenging the loss to the Deise in the provincial final.
Dublin were defeated in the All Ireland semi-Final and no doubt there will be a big Cratloe contingent in headquarters on Sunday supporting the boys and their Clare team-mates. Bring it home lads.
Ar Aghaidh Linn.
