Minor Football Champions
In a very tight and exciting match, played in difficult conditions in Kilmihil yesterday, Cratloe beat St. Breckans of Lisdoonvarna on a scoreline of 1-05 to 0-05. The strong wind and a heavy mist made it difficult for both teams to play a free flowing game. As the scoreline would suggest it was close all the way through and the Cratloe defence put up a huge battle to deny Breckans a chance to draw the game in the closing minutes.
Team Captain Jack McCourt was presented with the shield by Bord na nOg Secretary Niomh Madigan. The team then enjoyed some food and refreshments at the Woodcross Bar.
