Cratloe GAA News Update
Our well attended Senior AGM took place on Saturday evening last. All outgoing officers were re-elected unopposed and the following is some brief news from the meeting.
• Club Membership is now due – STRICT deadline 24th March 2012.
Our REGISTRATION NIGHT takes place Tues 7th Feb at 7.30pm upstairs in the Meeting Room. We would encourage all members and players to attend and new members are always welcome. Please note, Gym Access will only be available to Full Members registered before the 24th March 2012. For further information contact Jim Hickey, Registrar or Deirdre Chaplin, Secretary (086 1620757).
• We will be holding a Medal Presentation Night for our U21 Football Champions and our Division 3 Football League winners, in Setright's Tavern on Saturday 18th February. A good night is guaranteed and all are welcome!
• Our Chairman Jack Chaplin led the praise of Cratloe NS Principal Jody O Connor, who is to retire at the end of next month after 26 years in the position. Jody has been a great ambassador of Gaelic games within our school and will be sadly missed.
• John Ryan and the Sports Hall committee were commended for their tremendous and tireless work, and on the completion of the amenities on the first floor of the Sportlánn. The club now boasts a state of the art gym, available for use by all full members. Our club shop, a meeting room, 2 WC’s and an open multipurpose area complete the fantastic facilities.
